That's neat that you fly a retired jump plane. When the door is open and the breeze is cooling things down, do you feel any drag on the fuselage or will the tapering from front to back keep the air from hitting the door way.

I was watching a few skydivers the other day. I think it was a Cessna they were jumping from, and the right side was open for them to jump from. I did not see if there was a door lifted up, or a portion of the plane slid back like a barn type door. I was not at the airport, so I didn't...

The outside looks so nice, but the interior looks really clean and like new.

When your Hawk XP was overweight, were the flight controls more sluggish? And I would assume, that the take off was extended as it may not have the same amount of lift due to the extra weight?

That is really neat that you can teach your kids to fly. Do you have to be a Certified Flight Instructor to be able to do that? And what type of pipelines to you inspect from the air? Petroleum?

Does the configuration of the front struts make the ground steering react differently than the straight strut planes?

Thanks for mentioning the struts not being on that plane. I think that is what made it look so different to me. Very nice plane.

@Dhedeman have you ever soldered? You will need a good roll/pkg of solder and a soldering iron? It sounds as if a new coax connector may help. Here is a video that shows how to solder the connector.

Great another member to learn from. Does CFI mean Certified Flight Instructor? I can't guess the MEI, what does it mean?
