1967 172H Skyhawk panel update

I am updating radios in our C172H Skyhawk.
The steam gauges are in the old style layout as shown in picture.
What have some of you done when updating your panel with this layout?
Adding 2-G5 was my intent. But they do not fit very well with this shorter panel.
Looking for someone that has done this

I would be interested too. We are considering an IFly 740b but still would need to rearrange our panel in order to mount it in a good place.
 
When installing the dual G5's in this style panel, it's best to put them side-by-side if you want to avoid any panel modifications. There's also the GI-275's, although they're a little more expensive. If you're not concerned about IFR legality, you can look at the AV-30C from uAvionix. The HSI is not yet certified though it's forthcoming.
