I’m having a weird issue with my C182P - the cabin heat’s always on, no matter what I do.
Anyone else run into this? Any ideas what could be causing it?
I'm getting pretty frustrated here tsk!

When you turn the heat all the way down, no heat should come in. But sometimes it does because of leaks in the firewall.

First, check if the knob actually moves the heat flap. The cable might be stuck or the flap broken.

The flap is on the passenger side of the firewall, connected to a weird tube. Hot air goes into a big metal box across the whole car.

The manual says to open the fresh air to mix with the hot air to cool it down.

You can try lubing the flap to see if that helps.

If the flap is working, either open the fresh air or check for leaks in the firewall. You'll need to look around to find them.
