Cessna 172S Instrument Lights Out

I’m having some issues with the instrument lights on my Cessna 172S. The rheostat’s not working, and swapping it out hasn’t solved the problem, nor has messing with the circuit breaker. Do you think it could be a wiring issue or is the instrument panel itself acting up?

Check the power at the breaker, the rheostat, and the lamps. There's probably a broken wire somewhere. It's easy to find, but hard to fix.
