My 421C Golden Eagle has been behaving strangely. Even though the engine usually runs smoothly, it occasionally hiccups. I took it to a mechanic, and they believe the problem is with the spark plugs. I recently replaced the spark plugs, but the mechanic said they may need to be cleaned or adjusted.

Another possibility is that the fuel is heating up, causing the engine to shut down for a short period of time. This can be very annoying for passengers. Both engines experience this, but they eventually resume normal operation. Does anyone know what could be causing this?

Well if both engines are doing it that would seem to point towards a fuel contamination problem or something else common to both engines. A magneto problem would be constant and same for plugs. Either fuel contamination or fuel filters or even flow divider diaphragms or injector pumps if your engines have these.
