my airspeed indicator has been acting really weird. It's stuck on this crazy high number, even when I'm barely moving. This all started after I left the pitot tube cover off for way too long.
I sent the gauge in for repairs twice, but it still doesn't work right. The mechanic wants to send it again, but I think the problem is somewhere else.
I did a little test with a homemade pressure gauge, and it seems like water might have gotten into the system and froze. It's weird because I didn't see any ice on the plane, but I guess it can happen in humid weather.
I almost did a high-speed taxi test to see what was going on, but I decided against it because it wouldn't be legal. Plus, the airport was super busy, and I didn't want to cause any trouble.
Anyway, how do I get this water out of the system?
