Just picked up a 1979 Cessna U206G with a new engine and a 3-blade McCauley prop. I've been noticing it’s pretty noisy during takeoff, especially when the RPMs are up there.

I’m wondering if it’s safe to drop the takeoff RPM to around 2600 to cut down on the noise a bit without hurting performance. Also, I’d love some tips on the best mixture settings and how you guys are using SkyDemon for weight and balance stuff.

Anyone else have the same noise issues with a 3-blade prop on the U206G?
