Wheel Shimmy

So my 182RG's nose wheel's been shimmying like crazy. I checked the manual on how to fix the damper thing, but I'm kinda confused. When I wiggle the wheel, the damper doesn't seem to do anything. Is that normal?

Probably should check your torque link for play and nose tire for round and balance in addition to the shimmy damper. Any of these can cause this and all combined are sometimes the problem.

You can purchase a kit to replace the hardware and bushings that will tighten everything up again. Also be sure tire pressure is correct.
