Hello. Quick question about the behavior of the electric flaps on my 1965 Cessna 172F. They seem to "coast" a bit after I release the switch, which makes it hard to get the flaps set just right.

Is this normal for these older systems, or is something off? Anyone else dealt with this?

If the coasting feels excessive or the flaps aren’t doing their thing right, it could be a sign of some wear or issues with the mechanism that might need a check-up.
